The last playlist posted was one I have made up over the past couple of weeks – throwing a spanner into the playlisy space continuum. But hey ho, who said that all of life should be in order?
So what’s on number 42 – the answer to life and meaning and all that – I made this back in June, and listening to the first track, Marc Bolan, as I type, it brings back memories of walking along the road between the station and home in Charlottenlund – north of Copenhagen city center. It’s an outtake number from a Bolan session and a great peak behind the curtain – Bolan himself sounds buoyant and fresh – words I wouldn’t have associated with him if I were to only base my impression of him from his surly publicity photos.
Te last track is nabbed from the Stuart Maconie Freak Zone show – Infected Mushroom have been doing the rounds for the best part of a quarter century, but have ony darkened my door over the past 6 months or so. I am by no means an electronic music aficionado, but music as popular and as out there as this I thought might have caught my attention before now. Anyway, it’s not for the faint hearted – nor does it fit with the rest of the tracks in the mix – but hey ho again…
